VSTE Goes Green: Over the years we’ve made an effort to reduce the amount of paper waste that gets accumulated by reducing the scope of the printed program. This year we will provide a printed conference program with only a summary schedule of the sessions available during each breakout session. For the full detailed listing of each session we encourage attendees to make use of our online schedule here which will work on mobile devices and all major platforms.

I have been working in public education since 1981. I have been published in educational magazines and worked closely with the Virginia Department of Education presenting nationally the civic responsibility of Service-Learning and promoting curriculum based community-service projects through technology. I served on focus groups for the US Department of Education working on the ‘Millennials’ and School 2.0 projects during the Bush Administration. I chaired the New and Emerging Technology Committee for Prince William County Schools for 2 years looking at key trends in technology and how they impact classroom instruction. I am currently the Instructional Technologist at Forest Park High where I support, train and coach the staff and students in the optimal use of technology in the classrooms. I am also one of the instructors of e-21st teacher graduate program at the University of Virginia.
