VSTE Goes Green: Over the years we’ve made an effort to reduce the amount of paper waste that gets accumulated by reducing the scope of the printed program. This year we will provide a printed conference program with only a summary schedule of the sessions available during each breakout session. For the full detailed listing of each session we encourage attendees to make use of our online schedule here which will work on mobile devices and all major platforms.

From Dissertation to Classroom: All Hands on Personal Finance and Tech

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The session is for educators interested in teaching personal finance in a high school classroom. The session is an explanation and use of a dissertation research project using EverFi and a simulation experience in a high school classroom setting. The dissertation focused on experiential learning and use of simulations to aide in the understanding of personal finance. Portions of the EverFi program are featured in the session and the use of the simulations demonstrated and interwoven within a personal finance curriculum. As personal finance is now a graduation requirement, the EverFi program is superb supplemental content for a well-rounded financial education program. The program brings interactive content and the simulations give students experiences in dealing with money. All Hands on Tech, and Show Me the Money!
